Future Field: Site Planning for Contractors

Lay out the building on the actual lot before you bid it. True-size pads on satellite or drone photos, easement checks, and a PDF for the job folder, all from your phone.

What it does

  • Pull up any lot on satellite imagery and draw the building pad at its real size
  • Lay your own drone photo of the site right on the map
  • Check the pad against the easement and property line before you pour
  • No drone that day? Walk the lot and measure as you go, and add regular phone photos
  • Print or save a PDF site plan for the customer or the job folder

How to use it

  1. Open your private link. It opens your own workspace in your phone's browser. No account to make.
  2. Find the lot. Search the address and the satellite view loads.
  3. Draw the pad. Enter the building size and place it on the lot at its real dimensions.
  4. Check the easement. See how the pad sits against the property line and easement before you commit.
  5. Add photos. Lay your drone photo on the map, or walk the lot and measure with your phone.
  6. Save the PDF. Print it or drop it in the job folder.

Who it's for

Metal building, concrete and dirt contractors, builders and estimators who bid jobs on site and want the layout right the first time.

Why we built it

We bid and build these jobs ourselves. Future Field is the tool we use to plan them on site, right from the phone.

Questions

Common questions

What does the beta cost?

Nothing. Beta testers try it free and tell us what to fix.

Do I need to make an account?

No. You get a private link that opens your own workspace. Nobody else can see your jobs.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in your phone's browser and can be added to your home screen like an app.

Do I need a drone?

No. Satellite imagery and walk-to-measure work without one. A drone photo is a bonus.
